ESI Group

Allure designed the new office space of ESI Group for their Parisian headquarters.

When first discussing with the ESI team, one of the most important needs that emerged was to create a space that could increase flexibility, play as a true flagship and showcase of the brand, and make employees feel welcomed inside the workplace.

Right from the very beginning of the project, Allure established a relationship of trust and empathy with the client also thanks to the Define-Design-Deliver process, which allowed to clarify the objectives, the challenges and the core principles, as well as understanding the client’s brand identity and company culture. In fact, Allure’s methodology made it possible to identify the issues related to the different steps of the project and to anticipate any questions that might compromise the client’s objectives or the established schedule.

Throughout the Define phase, we collaborated with Strategies & Corp to accompany the client through the new office space search, carrying out different test fits to find the perfect solution for them. Finally, after a deep market research, the choice fell onto the Symbiose building in Bagneux, in the southern area of Paris, as it was the one that ticked all the boxes of ESI’s requirements.

Once the office space was secured, we sat down with the client to draw up different organizational diagrams that could allow us to understand exactly how the different spaces and functionalities should have worked together, basing the design of the space on specific keywords that reflected their values.

The overall concept revolves around the creation of a modern and dynamic image, with the goal of infusing the company’s DNA into the work environments to give life to an exciting office space, incorporating loads of natural light, colours and shapes.

We took advantage of ESI’s graphic chart, that involves really beautiful colours, to create a “fil rouge” all over the office space with the brand’s guidelines, above all in the collaborative areas, where the use of bright colors mixes well with a technological, high-performance and lively environment.

Another important element we needed to bear in mind all along the project, was that for the client was extremely important to take advantage of the single-floor layout to make sure that employees could freely access every area, no matter their role or function, which is the reason why no enclosed offices were included in the project.

Consequently, we made sure that the open areas were primarily dedicated to meetings or teamwork areas, placing an additional focus on a central cafeteria that could allow people to interact an also provide a large space for events, and we dedicated the more quiet areas to the workstations, coworking areas and even a virtual reality space to test their technology developments.

Finally, we worked with a lot of diagonal lines, lights and LEDs that run across the space and give a really dynamic and bright feel, like the perforated led wall in the welcome area that highlight ESI’s logo, while for the workstations area, we went for a much softer vibe, with lighter colors and also a lot of greenery that we wanted to include into the overall space.

Allure’s team of design, construction, and strategy professionals, worked closely with ESI’s team, progressing hand in hand and comparing different perspectives while identifying potential obstacles right from the very beginning: this strong teamwork reflects the fruitful cross-functional and multi-disciplinary approach that was put into practice during this project and that allowed to reach the final result with the best possible outcome.
