Clinical Research Organisation

Allure developed the new french HQ for a leading full service global clinical organisation, delivering a forward-thinking working environment in the Paris area.

The project required a specific interpretation of the global design language of the company, along with the contrast of the French team’s already existing space, in order to create a balance between the two design styles through a coherent and harmonic layout.

Being an organisation specialized in clinical research, the need for privacy and confidentiality is high. One of the requirements that played a key role throughout the design process was to include a higher amount of private spaces dedicated to confidential work through multiple private rooms together with a few enclosed team rooms dedicated to meetings.

Due to the rising importance of remote and hybrid ways of working, the overall layout was characterised by flexibility and technology, with dedicated flex areas for desk sharing and workstations provided with dual monitors and privacy panels to ease the work on confidential materials.

Materiality and sustainability were a strong focus for this project. Particular attention was given to highly sustainable materials, the connection between the finishes and the repetition of specific materials throughout the project (like the choice of exposing the concrete slab to strip the existing space back to its core) and electric cars’ charging ports.
